This website is designed to provide information on the driver handbook and other awareness and training products offered by Techni-Com for the North American Cargo Securement Standard. These regulations are in effect across Canada and the United States.

The US rule is part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) 49 CFR 393.5 & 393.100 to 393.136. The regulations were introduced in 2005 through a final rule entitled "Protection Against Shifting and Falling Cargo”. The Canadian rules became effective in 2006 and are based on the National Safety Code, Standard 10, which has been adopted by all provinces and territores.
